By purchasing from MANUFACTURED AUTHENTICITY you agree to the following terms. We have written them honestly because we feel that a store called MANUFACTURED AUTHENTICITY has a certain obligation to not be deceptive in its legal documentation.
The products
MANUFACTURED AUTHENTICITY sells shirts. Specifically, three shirts. They are physical objects made of fabric that you wear on your body. We make no claim that owning one will change your personality, improve your social life, or resolve any ongoing identity crisis. Those outcomes are possible but not guaranteed and are outside the scope of this agreement.
Shirt colours, fits, and prints are as described on the product page. We photograph them honestly. If the shirt looks a particular way in the photo it will look that particular way in your hands. Screens vary, so there may be minor colour differences. This is physics, not fraud.
Orders and payment
Orders are confirmed once payment is processed. You will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive one, check your spam folder before emailing us, and if it's not there, then email us.
We reserve the right to cancel orders in exceptional circumstances, such as a stock error or a situation so unusual we haven't thought of it yet. If we cancel your order, you get a full refund. Simple.
Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. What you see is what you pay. Shipping is added at checkout and is not a surprise we spring on you at the last step.
Shipping and delivery
We ship to Australia and select international destinations. Delivery times are estimates. Once the shirt leaves our hands it is in the care of the shipping carrier and subject to the capricious nature of logistics. We will provide tracking so you can watch it make inexplicable detours.
We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, customs, natural disasters, or the general unpredictability of physical objects moving through space.
Returns and refunds
If your shirt arrives damaged or is the wrong item, we will fix it. Send us a photo, tell us what happened, and we will send a replacement or issue a refund. No drama.
If you simply changed your mind, we accept returns within 30 days provided the shirt is unworn, unwashed, and in its original condition. You cover return postage. We will refund the shirt cost once it arrives back with us.
We do not accept returns on shirts that have been worn, washed, or clearly lived a brief life before being returned. We can tell.
Intellectual property
The designs on our shirts are ours. You may wear them. You may not reproduce them, print them yourself, or sell copies of them. The brand name MANUFACTURED AUTHENTICITY and all associated designs are our intellectual property. The irony of asserting ownership over a brand called MANUFACTURED AUTHENTICITY is not lost on us. It is, in fact, the point.
Limitation of liability
Our liability to you is limited to the cost of the shirt you purchased. We are not responsible for any indirect consequences of shirt ownership, including but not limited to: compliments you weren't ready for, conversations the shirt started, or existential reflections prompted by the brand name.
Nothing here limits our liability for things that would be unconscionable to limit under Australian Consumer Law, because that law exists for good reason and we respect it.
Australian Consumer Law
Our shirts come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. We plan to just honour this without making you cite the legislation.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved there, ideally over email rather than in a courtroom, because we are selling three shirts and a courtroom would be disproportionate.
Changes
If we add a fourth shirt or otherwise change something material, we'll update these terms. The date at the top will change. That's how you'll know.
