Privacy Policy
Last updated: after we read an article that made us nervous
MANUFACTURED AUTHENTICITY ("we", "us", "our", "the brand") values your privacy almost as much as we value irony, which is to say enormously.
What we collect
When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, shipping address, and payment information. We collect this because we need to know who you are and where to send the shirts. Without this information we would simply be making shirts and throwing them into the void, which is not a viable business model.
We also collect browsing data automatically — things like your IP address, device type, which of our three shirts you looked at, how long you stared at them, and whether you almost bought one and then didn't. That last one stings a little but we understand.
What we do with it
We use your information to process and fulfil your order, send you a confirmation email, and let you know when your shirt is on its way. We may also send you marketing emails if you opted in, which will contain updates about our shirts. There are currently three of them. Updates will be infrequent.
We do not sell your data. We are a small operation selling a limited number of shirts and we have neither the infrastructure nor the enthusiasm for data brokerage.
Payment
Payments are processed by a third-party provider. We do not store your card details. We deliberately do not want that responsibility.
Shipping partners
We share your name and address with our shipping carrier so they can deliver your shirt to your actual location. This is the only reason we share it and it is a very reasonable reason.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. Email us and we will sort it out. We are not a large corporation with a dedicated privacy team. There is just us. We will reply.
If you are in the EU, your rights under the GDPR also apply. Same process. Just email.
Cookies
We use cookies. Some keep the site functioning. Some help us understand whether anyone is visiting. You can opt out of non-essential ones. We will respect that and feel only slightly sad.
